Jacqui is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and holds full membership with Dietitians Australia. Jacqui is also approved as a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician.
Food plays a key role in our physical and mental health and wellbeing. We all have different health challenges so there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach when it comes to food and nutrition. Accredited Practising Dietitians (APDs) provide personalised nutrition advice and support across the lifespan.
Jacqui provides medical nutrition therapy for a wide range of health concerns such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, diverticulitis and IBS. Her areas of special interest include mental health, eating disorder recovery, chronic dieting, disordered eating patterns and body image concerns.
Jacqui takes a Non-Diet Approach to nutrition and believes that developing and preserving a healthy relationship with food is a vital part of an individual’s wellbeing. Within a consultation, Jacqui aims to create a judgement-free space where all foods are acceptable.
She is experienced in applying the principles of Intuitive Eating with an individualised, client-centred approach. Jacqui has completed further training in the Non-Diet Approach and HAES® values, the RAVES eating disorder treatment framework, application of the low FODMAP diet for IBS, and the Satter Feeding Dynamics Model.
